Niwaki

Founded between Japan and the UK, Niwaki is a thoughtfully curated collection of beautiful garden tools that bridge the traditional gardening practices and sensibilities of these two cultures. Crafted with exceptional attention to detail in both function and design, every piece in the collection stems from personal use and deep appreciation of the ways beautiful objects can transform the mundane.

Each tool is made in Japan to the highest standards, including their renowned blades, and the collection honours the artistry and cultural significance of gardening traditions from one of the world's most botanically knowledgeable nations. Drawing inspiration from the view that gardens are microcosms of nature, Niwaki's pieces reflect the refined aesthetic and superior craftsmanship of Japanese garden tools, setting the standard for quality of production and process here in the UK.

Niwaki Mini Kenzan Set
£15.00

The Niwaki Kenzan is used for ikebana flower arrangements and has become increasingly popular for western-style floral designs, replacing foam. The brass pins are sturdy enough to support both woody and softer green or grass stems. The Kenzan’s spiked base allows for flexible positioning of both woody and green stalks. For larger twigs, criss-cross cuts at the bottom can be made to ensure easier placement. To use, simply place the Kenzan in a saucer or dish filled with water, topping up daily to maintain freshness. The set includes a straightener for adjusting any bent pins.
