Paige Mitchell

Paige Mitchell is a British ceramicist whose distinctive work emerges from routines of daily life. She creates beautiful pieces made for living, bridging art and function across an expansive range of objects that are playful in their illustrative styles whilst being refined in form. Her pottery emphasises simplicity and a connection to nature, often featuring organic forms and earthy tones through a minimalist aesthetic that evokes a sense of calm.

Working from a studio housed above her shop Elm, in Norwich, each ceramic is created using both wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques. The ideas for her stoneware pieces are found in her day to day — spending time gardening, making meals in the kitchen, drawing lines in sketchbooks — translating into finished objects in their motif and form. Each object is handmade and hand-painted, offering subtle variations between pieces that show hints of their making process.

Circus Mug with Harlequin Pattern by Paige Mitchell

Hand-thrown in Britain by ceramicist Paige Mitchell, this stoneware mug is crafted on the wheel, with the handle attached by hand. Inspired by her everyday activities - gardening, sketchbook drawing, and both wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics - Paige creates functional pieces that blend practicality with character.

Once dry, the piece is fired again at 1230°C for durability and depth of colour. Please expect slight variations in shape, height, and glaze finish.
