Graduating with first-class honours from The Slade School of Fine Art, Hutchings was awarded the Lynn Painter-Stainers scholarship and gained early recognition when eight of her large-scale works were exhibited at Saatchi Gallery in 2019—now part of the Saatchi collection. She has since exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, with residencies in Los Angeles and shows throughout Asia, including in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea.
Her practice centres on the poetry of the everyday—translating moments from domestic and studio life, such as a clothes rail, a table, or a sink, into vibrant, abstract forms. Colour, texture, and repetition serve as tools for observation and transformation, offering a personal yet universal take on daily experience.
