A carved sycamore tea caddy formed as a cottage with pitched roof, chimney and dormer windows. The exterior is painted with simulated leaded windows, foliage to the sides and rear, and a red front door, with a stable door to the reverse. The hinged lid opens to twin lidded compartments with turned handles. The interior retains traces of original silver foil lining within painted green foliate borders. Complete with working lock and tasselled key.
