A hand-built ceramic bowl by North Yorkshire-based artist Charlotte Salt, formed in buff stoneware and raised on a series of rounded bobble feet. Finished with layered glazes, wax resist and oxides, the surface combines painterly decoration with the tactile qualities of the clay body beneath.
Charlotte Salt works from her home studio in North Yorkshire and as part of the AHH Studio Collective. Using traditional hand-building techniques including slab construction, coiling and pinching, she creates sculptural forms that retain the visible marks of making.
