A hand-crafted stoneware vase by Paige Mitchell, a British ceramicist whose work blends function with character through thoughtful form and glaze.
Formed on a mould and finished entirely by hand, the piece is inspired by Mitchell’s everyday routines—gardening, drawing, and studio practice—and is part of her Harlequin series. After an initial bisque firing at 1000°C, the vase is signed, waxed, and dipped into a homemade glossy honey glaze. The harlequin pattern is then painted by hand onto the glazed surface. A second firing at 1230°C ensures both durability and depth of colour.
