Red Yellow Black by Paul Feiler

£0.00

Paul Feiler (1918–2013) was a British painter associated with the St Ives School, recognised for his abstract explorations of light, structure, and spatial tension. Influenced early on by the Cornish landscape, his work evolved into a refined geometric abstraction, marked by restrained colour, texture, and a contemplative sense of depth.

Red Yellow Black exemplifies Feiler’s approach during the 1950s, combining formal precision with a meditative atmosphere. The painting was loaned by the artist to Tate St Ives for exhibition in 1995, reflecting its significance within his broader body of work and within post-war British abstraction.

Origin: British
Period/Style: 20th Century Modern British Art
