A carved and painted wooden figure of elongated upright form, with cylindrical torso, broad flattened head and circular eyes. The arms fall close to the body and the legs divide into two supports creating a frontal stance. Painted in natural earth pigments arranged in bands and linear motifs, with surface wear from handling. Enraeld Munkara Tipungaleralumi Djulabinyanna (1882–1968) was a Tiwi ceremonial leader and sculptor working on Melville Island. His carvings are associated with Pukumani mortuary traditions and are among the earliest Tiwi sculptures to enter museum collections.
